Bogotá.- The Colombian Association of Natural Gas supports the decisions of the national government that will benefit natural gas users from strata 1 and 2 (more than 6 million families) who will be able to count on the service in the current health emergency.
The most vulnerable households in the country, who cannot pay the receipt for next month, will have the possibility of deferring the rate for 36 months, without penalties or default interest.
“The industry will have the necessary flexibility to comply with this decision of the Government and remains committed to guarantee the continuity of the service. All the production, transport and distribution companies recognize the current difficult situation and work hand in hand with the Ministry of Energy to guarantee that homes, businesses, industries and power generators receive the natural gas they require, “said Orlando Cabrales Segovia, president of Naturgas.
The union joins the call of the Minister María Fernanda Suárez for households to have a rational and responsible use of public services, and for payments to be made on time, in order to benefit those who need it most.
